Obituary of Clarence George White

WHITE- Clarence George passed away peacefully at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the age of 91. Loving husband of the late Marina White (nee Legge) (2022).  Clarence is survived by his children Clarence (Carol Ann) White of Atlanta and Elizabeth (Paul) Gilbert of St. Thomas; by his grandchildren Rebecca (Nick) Helms and their children Madison, Andrew, Joel and Wesley, Stephen (Ariadna) White and their children Gabriel and Sophia, Ben (Michelle) Gilbert and their children Evelyn, Tobias and William, and Mark Gilbert; by his siblings Woodrow (Rowena) White, Eric (Dora) White, Bernice (late Lewis) Wiseman, and Maisie (Max) Barrow; and by his sister-in-law Davina (Lewis) Chaulk. Clarence will be greatly missed by his dear friend Nellie Deboer and her family. Clarence was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland to the late George and Ida White. Clarence enjoyed his teaching career as a Jr. Highschool Principal in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and spending time with his family. Cremation has taken place and a private interment of ashes will be held on a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).
