Obituary of Joan Madeline Davis

DAVIS – Joan Madeline passed away at Riverview Gardens – Long Term Care, Chatham on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the age of 75.  Wife of the late James “Jim” Wayne Davis (2017).  Joan is survived by her loving children Scott Davis (Karen) of Brampton and Shelbi Cudmore (Paul) of Thamesville; grandchildren Taylor, Madison, Ava and Davis.  Joan will be missed by siblings Doug MacVicar (Penni), Len MacVicar (Mary); sisters-in-law Doreen Coombs (late Jim), late Bernice Abell (late Bill), late Lois Davis (late Earl Smith), Robert Davis (Lynda); daughter of the late Lloyd and Madeline MacVicar; and by several nieces, nephews and extended family.  Joan leaves behind her precious “Little Dolly” Jewel.

Joan was born in Leamington, ON.  Joan retired from the Public Utilities Commission as a Purchasing Agent.  Past volunteer at Valleyview Home and St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital.

Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  A private interment to be held at a later date.  If desired, donations to Riverview Gardens-Long Term Care, Recreation Department would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
