Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Page

PAGE- Peacefully after a long and wonderful life, Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Page (nee Smith) passed away at Extendicare Port Stanley on Friday, June 21, 2013 in her 85th year. She is now in the loving arms of her husband Albert Page who passed away on May 25, 2012. Betty is survived by her children Larry Page (Bill) of Toronto, Terry Page (Joyce Hohner) (late Elaine Page) of London and Charisse (Tom) McMillan of Port Stanley; her grandchildren James McMillan of Port Stanley and Tanya (late David) Johnston of St. Thomas; great grandchildren Anden and Meghan Johnston; her brother Jack Smith of London; sister-in-law Agnes Smith also of London; and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Ben (Mildred) Smith, Bill Smith; her sister Joan Beadle (Ted Robb, Len Beadle); and her sister-in-law Shirley Smith. Betty was born in London to the late Ben and Annie Smith. She was a dedicated volunteer for numerous charity organizations and became a member of the Port Stanley Lioness Club in 1978 and was Club President from 1983 - 1984. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London on a later date. Donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. There are so few words to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Extendicare Port Stanley and Dr. John Hofhuis.
