Obituary of Hendrik Van Dixhoorn

VAN DIXHOORN- Hendrik “Henk” “Henry” Johannes left his earthly home for his eternal home in heaven on Monday, July 03, 2017 at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife Thea Van Dixhoorn (nee Van Pelt); by his children Adrian (Barb) Van Dixhoorn and their children Andy, Ben and Alex; Chad (Emily) Van Dixhoorn and their children Victoria, Caroline, Ashley, Peter and Charlotte; Patricia (Edmundo) Oliveira and their children Edmund, Spencer and Ezra; and Sherri Van Dixhoorn; by his siblings Ann (Herman) Westendorp, Audrey (Rinus) Hulst, Andy (Lynn) Van Dixhoorn, John (Lisa) Van Dixhoorn, Pete (Gwen) Van Dixhoorn; by his siblings-in-law Tom (late Dianne) Pyper, Kathryn (late Max) Van Pelt, Audrey (late George) Kleinjan, Arend (Alice) Van Pelt, Eva (Paul) Goud, Sya (Len) Timmermans, Sara (Will) Pennings, Dee (late Henry) Overduin, Hugo (GiGi) Van Pelt, Henk (Darlene) Van Pelt, Margaret (Chris) Wood, Lina (Jack) de Kwaadsteniet, Floyd (Jacqueline) Van Pelt; and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Andries and Janneke Van Dixhoorn and by his brother Deedee and his brother-in-law Ben. Henk worked at Ford Motor Company in Talbotville. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Gospel Fellowship Chapel 109 Chestnut Street, St. Thomas on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00 am. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
