Obituary of Ronald Prior

PRIOR - Ronald “Ron” Harry of St. Thomas passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 25th, 2017 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Shirley Prior (nee Tidball) for 48 years. Ron is survived by his children Sherry Costa (William Klassen) of St. Thomas and Richard Prior (Jodie Edwards) of St. Thomas; by his loving grandchildren Jordan Costa, Connor Costa, Mackenzie “Big Mac” Costa, Logan Klassen, Dawson Cook, Tayven Ross and Jorgia Prior. Missed by siblings Verna (late John) Jones, Norma (late Ken) Laidlaw, Marlene (late Gordon) Prior, late Art Prior, John (Doreen) Prior, Diane (Jim) Riehl, Bruce (Randi) Prior, late Dorothy (late Donnie) Williams; by his siblings-in-laws Ken (Joanne) Tidball, late Barb (Doug) Langs, Wayne (late Brenda) Tidball; and by his many nieces and nephews. Ron is predeceased by his parents Delmar and Thelma Prior and by his parents-in-law Clayton and Viola Tidball. He worked at Brass Craft for 38 years and loved fishing with his buddies Bruce and Brian. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Monday, May 29th, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment of ashes at a later date.
