WELLS - Hughie William and Valerie Joanne passed away on the same day hours from one another on Thursday, October 1, 2020, Valerie at her residence and Hughie at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. They leave behind Hughie’s son Brian Wells (Carmen Montes), granddaughter Alexis Montes, siblings Kay Simpson (Ron), and Karen Wells. Predeceased by Hughie’s parents Alex and Velda Wells, sister Dorane Annett, grandson Tristan Wells, Valerie's parents Robert and Cecilia Fleming and siblings Cecilia Ford (Ken), Gloria Simons (Joe), Robert Fleming and Richard (Lynn) Fleming. Cremation has already taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). There will be no visitation or memorial service. Interment of ashes at Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery. Those wishing to consider a special gesture of remembrance may make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Elgin-St. Thomas or Canadian Mental Health Association.
