Obituary of John Wilson

WILSON - John “Jack” Kenneth passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, May 18th, 2017 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Joyce Wilson (nee Moorhead). John is survived by his children Elaine (Steve) Knipe and their son Kramer of St. Thomas and Karen (Scott) Davis and their daughters Taylor and Madison of Brampton; by his sisters-in-law Juanita Singer and Evelyn Singer; and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Deborah Wilson; his stepmother Kathleen Singer-Wilson; his sister June Pullen (late Tom); and by his brothers William Singer and Wayne Singer. John was employed for 46 years on the Railroad starting with the C&O, Fireman with NYC, Pen Central, Conrail (ENGR) and finishing his career with CN as an engineer. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Faith Church, 345 Fairview Ave, St. Thomas at 11:00 a.m. A private family interment will be held on Tuesday at Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
