I remember Barb from our days on Caverly Road when we lived next door. She was easily seen with her curlie red hair and bubbly smile.she and her brothers were a great team...especially Barb and Lorne. The last time I saw Barb was several years ago when she was working at McDonalds. We chatted a bit and caught up with how her girls were doing. I remember them too when they were little and would visit with Grandma Elley. Our sincerest sympathies to her husband, daughters and to all of her brothers!

Gilles was our employee in the daytime and Barb, his attraction as she worked at the New Sarum Diner nights and weekends. Gilles and Barb met up through Facebook years later and came to see us in our home. Barb was planning on leaving Aylmer for Sudbury to be with the love she never forgot. She was working for McDonalds and would be leaving soon. Our grand-daughter had applied and hoped to get a position there. Barb stayed and waited to make certain Nicole got hired. Nicole stayed with the company in Aylmer and Windsor until this past year when she graduated as a Registered Nurse. Barb and Gilles promised to visit me a couple of years ago that never happened and now I know why. We will remember her the way she was knowing she is free to fly with the angels and be with the ones she loves.

When I was a nine year old Mom and Dad brought this curly redhead to our house to join our family. She completed our family as now there were four boys and a girl. That little girl was teased so much by her brothers but she gave it right back to us.
I guess we toughened her for the real world. She was caring and loving to us all. She would drive down from Sudbury with Gilles to visit me when my wife and I travelled up from Texas. For that I was grateful for her to put that love and effort into our relationship. She was the only one who would call me Markie and of course in turn she was Barbie to me. I loved her dearly. Her smile was infectious and when I see the next twinkling star in the sky I will know it was Barbie's smile looking down on us all. I will miss you little sister.

My wonderful Auntie, I love you and miss you. our conversations on life and living it to the fullest were so amazing to me. I thank you so much for your wisdom. At the time they pulled me through some really rough times. For this I am eternally grateful. I am glad you are no longer in pain. I know you are standing with Grandma and Grandpa right now. Barbara was my only sister. My parents got tired of just having boys all the time so they chose Barb to become a part of our family. We were so fortunate to have her added to our family. She took on four brothers and really managed us quite well. She is now in a better place freed from the pain and suffering of these last few years. We are all so thankful that God brought Gilles into her life 8 years ago. He was so good to her and for her. Barb will never be forgotten!
