Obituary of Sadie Dryfhout

DRYFHOUT - Sietske “Sadie” (nee Postma) of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Hank Dryfhout. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3: 5-6 Sadie is survived by her children Martha Moore of St. Thomas, Henry (Eva) Dryfhout of Wallacetown, Margaret Dryfhout of St Thomas, Janette (Scott) McKillop of Shedden, Dave (Heather) Dryfhout of Shedden, Evelyn (Neil) Greidanus and John (Yvonne) Dryfhout both of Buffalo, NY; by her grandchildren Jeremy (Melanie) Moore, Rick Moore (Tanya McCready), Chad (Melissa) Moore, Josh (Janneke) Dryfhout, Matthew (Aleksandra) Dryfhout, Jon (Megan) Dryfhout, Emily (John) McWilliam, David (Ashley) Dryfhout, Tyson Dryfhout, Joe Dyck (Amy Rowland), Sarah Dyck (Kevin Dutra), Shane Dyck (Emily Giau), Vanessa McKillop, Jeff McKillop, Josh McKillop, Jessica Dryfhout (Justin Fehr), Rachael Dryfhout, Micah Greidanus, Hannah Greidanus, Mark Dryfhout, Adam Dryfhout and 21 great grandchildren; by her siblings Margaret (John) Vanderkayden, Ralph (Anne) Postma and Jane (John) Shores. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, cremation has taken place and a service to celebrate Sadie’s life will be held on a later date.
