LATIMER - Willard Ernest passed away peacefully with family at his side at Terrace Lodge, Aylmer on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the age of 92. He was born in DeKalb, Illinois on August 15, 1929. At three years of age, the family moved to a farm in the Talbotville area, where he lived and farmed until 1984. He then took up a second career in woodworking. Thoughtful memories are being shared with his wife Edith , children Gary (Nancy), Laurraine, and Rodger (Lynn). Willard is also survived by his grandchildren Sean, Greg (Robyn), Wayne, Yvonne (Tim), Jeff (Kyla) and great grandchildren Nolan, Theo and Charlize. Willard will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his great granddaughter Kaila, parents Ernest and Rose Latimer, and his sisters Lorraine Latimer and Phyllis (Lloyd) Auckland. At Willard’s request, there will be no public visitation. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). A private family interment will be held in Union United Cemetery. If desired, donations to Terrace Lodge Recreation Facility, Pets/Friends for Life or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
