MARTIN - Velma Pearl (nee Lane) passed away peacefully at Caressant Care-Bonnie Place, St. Thomas in her 90th year on Friday, April 28, 2017. Born July 13, 1927 in Markdale, ON, daughter of the late Wesley and Pearl Lane. Beloved wife of late Rene Martin (2011). Mother of Paul (Lori) Martin of Brechin, ON and Shelley Kewley (Peter Topping) of St. Thomas, ON. Grandmother of Rachel (Mark) Heazlewood, Raymond Martin, Kyle (Brigette) Martin, and Steven, Wesley and Renee Kewley. Dear sister of late Stella (Ted) Scarlett, and Ethel (late Del) Beaumont. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St Thomas (519-631-0570). Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place as per her written request.
