Please share a memory of Don to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
PANKOFF - It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of our cherished father, “Don” (Gerald Donald), of St. Thomas, on Friday, June 10, 2022, in his 91st year, after a quick decline from a short battle with cancer at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Don was a dedicated and loving husband of 65 years to the late Irene Pankoff (2019, nee Hegedus). He joins her in being deeply missed and lovingly remembered by son David (Brenda) Pankoff of London, daughter Patricia (Steven) Nemeth, of Straffordville, and grandchildren, Brianne, Darren, Steven and Nate. He is survived by an aunt, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and two sister-in-laws [Mary (Jim, 2012) Bilotta of Niagara Falls and Rose (Harry, 2016) Pankoff of St. Catharines]. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Annie (Myhal) Pankoff, of Niagara Falls. Don was a retired stationary engineer from Ford, Talbotville, who will be remembered as a kind, witty, humorous, light-hearted individual who loved his family, friends, and also bowling, horse racing and playing the slots. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life is planned for the future, with all invited to attend who knew and loved Don. Those wishing to send condolences can do so through the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St Thomas, ON (519-631-0570) via www.sjfh.ca. May those wishing to make a donation in memory of Don consider a charity of their choice or the Canadian Cancer Society.
