Obituary of William Sparenberg

SPARENBERG- William “Bill” passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Elgin Manor on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the age of 82. Bill is survived by his loving wife Shirley Sparenberg (nee Delrue); by his children Nina (Ted) Caughill, David (Sandra) Sparenberg, Todd Sparenberg, and Bill (Marcey) Sparenberg; by his grandchildren Justin (Tammy) Caughill and their children Christian, Faith and Nick, Damon (Jenn) Caughill, Ashley (Josh) Cauchi, Shane Sparenberg (Lauren Welch), Simone Sparenberg (Tyler Grieve), Anij Sparenberg, Nathan Sparenberg, Syril Sparenberg, Wim Sparenberg, Michael Foster (Julia Taylor) and their daughter Madelynn; by his siblings Lexie (John) Martin, Robert (Charlene) Sparenberg, Betsy (Nef) Caryn, Alex (Eileen) Sparenberg; his brothers-in-law Ken MacDonald and Edward (Josette) Delrue; sisters-in-law Yvonne Sparenberg and Marie (Charlie) Srokosz; his daughter-in-law Tina MacIntee; and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Donna MacDonald and his brothers Henk, Lowry and Otto. Bill worked at the Ford Motor Company in Talbotville. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). A memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church 380 Manor Rd, St. Thomas on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment of ashes will be held in St. Thomas Cemetery-West Ave on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ADRA-Mission Fund, Alzheimer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
