Obituary of William Frederick Young

YOUNG- William “Bill” Frederick passed away at Valleyview Home in St. Thomas with his family by his side on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the age of 89.  Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Irene Young (nee Eveland).  Bill is survived by his daughter Cindy (Mark) Gregory of Thamesville; and by his grandchildren Jarrett and Cobie..  Predeceased by his son Bill Young of St. Thomas; by his parents Burt and Eilene Young; and by his sisters Mabel (Orval) Hogg, Bertha (George) Benedict, and Grace Bowser.  During his working life, Bill worked as a maintenance mechanic for Yarmouth Metal Fabricators, VME, and Clark Equipment.  Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment in South Park Cemetery to follow.  If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society Southwestern Partners or Animal Aide would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
