Obituary of Norman Russell Glover

GLOVER – Norman of St. Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the age of 87.  Beloved husband of the late Florence Glover (nee  Neff).  Norm is survived by his daughters Christina Glover of St. Thomas and Sharon Taylor of Caledonia; by his granddaughter Meghan Taylor of Port Loring, and by his great granddaughters; Kiarah and Kinsley Taylor.  Also survived by his brother Clifford (late Shirley) Glover, and by his sister Vera (Dan) McKillop.  Norm is predeceased by his son Richard Glover, and by his siblings; Robert Glover, Bruce Glover, Gordon Glover, Marion Rice, and Jean Greig.  Norman worked as a Superintendent with the Elgin County Roads Department for over 25 years.  He had a passion for woodworking, and he built beautiful pieces of furniture that his family will always treasure.  The family would like to thank the staff at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for their kind and compassionate care they provided for Norman.  Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service being held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Cremation to follow.  If desired, donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation Ontario would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
