Judy ,Roger and family I would like to convey my sincere condolences at the passing of your Dad Judy. He certainly served his country well. How wonderful for your parents to have been able to celebrate 72 years of marriage together. They were certainly very blessed. You are in my thoughts .

Dear Judy, Doug & Family, We were saddened to hear that your Dad had passed away. Our memories of Burns will live on in our hearts forever, especially since we live in the house that he and your Mom shared for many years. He was a kind caring gentleman, who loved to talk about the history of Delhi, and the people whom he knew from years gone by. He shared many of those stories with us, during visits back to Delhi, e-mails, and of course talking via the telephone. We will miss the contact, as much as you will miss your visits with this special person, your Dad. May all your fondest memories become your treasure trove tomorrow. Thanks for the kind words about Dad. My daughter Molly and I were up for a week in December to see Dad. I drove to Port Rowan to see Lou Barnes and up to Delhi, where I gave my daughter a tour of Delhi, including a stop at 64 Church Street t see the house that my grandparent, parents and my sister once called home. Many memories ft me in that property and I recalled you graciously allowing us a look inde the house several years ago. We had a whole series of pictures of Dad, his dog Pal and many others going back to his youth throughout own move into the house when my grandmother died in 1964. Thank you, Doug Foster

I am so happy to have got to know Burns, he rekindled my love for Cribbage and even let me win once in a while. My dad, George Hartford always spoke about "Fuzz" with admiration. They are flying in "Smitty" once again. My deepest condolences to your family. Even though we never met, I feel like "Fuzz" was part of our family.

Hi Crosbie I have seen this and I know that my grandad Richard Henry Butler served on Smitty as flight engineer with you r dad if you could share any memories that you dad told you that would be great Many Thanks Adam

Thank you for your kind words Crosbie. I have heard of you as Dad knew all of "Ginge's" children's names. I actually met your dad once when I was probably seven or eight and he stopped and stayed at our place in Delhi one or two nights. I just remember he was going to be getting married to your mom. I am 71 so shows you how long ago that was. I am sure they are flying high in Smitty.

Judith, Doug & families Sorry to hear of Burns passing, but I'm sure he was happy to be reunited with Kaye. Burns had a good life and he will be deeply missed, it was always a pleasure to visit him.. I will always remember our last visit on the phone which was a while ago but after we had visited with him at Kay's funeral. I will always remember as a kid the good times we had when your Mom and Dad came to visit. I am sorry that we are unable to attend because we are in Florida but want you to know that we are thinking of your family at this difficult time. To a great gentleman we say goodbye. Helen & Cliff
