MOUNT, Quentin Adams - The family is saddened to announce the death of Quentin Adams Mount. Quentin passed away peacefully of undetermined natural causes on December 27, 2016 at his home in St. Thomas. Born April 12, 1968, at Toronto East General Hospital, Quentin was the youngest son of Valerie Young Mount and Frank Mount of Don Mills, ON. Early schooling was at Overlander Elementary in Kamloops, B.C. In the early 1980s he and his mother relocated to St. Thomas where he completed his high school years, graduating from Arthur Voaden Secondary School in 1988. He took special pride in helping with restorative carpentry work on the Canada Southern Railway Station (CASO) and worked as custodian for various CASO fundraising functions. Quentin was an avid reader and also wrote poetry and short stories. He had a fondness for cats, his last two feline companions being Tanner and Talon. Having an interest in drama in high school, he became involved with Elgin Theatre Guild for a time. In later years he created sculptures out of recycled materials; several of his creations are in St. Thomas shops.
