Obituary of Kenneth Steinburg

STEINBURG - Kenneth Glenn of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, with his family at his side in his 67th year. Beloved wife of Charlene Steinburg (nee Gooderham). Ken is survived by his loving children Kenneth Steinburg (Waneda) of Sarnia, David Steinburg of St Thomas and Jennifer Steinburg of St. Thomas. Cherished grandchildren Wyatt, Katrina, John, Charles, Nicholas and Danicka. Ken will be missed by his sisters Joyce Bellerose (Phillip) and Gail Beifer (Doug); by several nieces and nephews; and by his special friends George and Sheila Omerod. Ken was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and enjoyed volunteering at the War Museum in St. Thomas. He was a member of the Learning Disabilities Association of Sault Ste. Marie and the Ontario Board. Ken was an avid genealogy researcher who published two books; The Ministers of Knox Presbyterian Church and Knox St. Thomas 176 Years of Music. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, November 18, 2016 between the hours of 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 19 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with interment in Sault Ste. Marie to be announced at a later date. As per Ken’s wishes, donations to Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation would be appreciated.
