Obituary of Wilfred Allen McKibbin

McKIBBIN- Wilfred Allen of St. Thomas passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Margaret McKibbin (nee Braund). Special dad to the late Wayne Forbes, Lorraine Hamilton (Peter) and his daughter-in-law Sandra Forbes. Wilfred will also be remembered by Margaret’s children Andrew (Mary) Burton, Kris Burton (Patricia Slattery), and Lucille (Roy) Dickson; his many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister Doris (late Jack) McKillop; his sisters-in-law Grace McKibbin, Norma (Guy) Dalpe and Elaine LeFave; and many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Margaret’s daughter Sheila Brooks, his brother Ken and his sister-in-law Audrey Showers. Wilfred was a member of the Salvation Army in St. Thomas. He worked for Auto Haulaway and was always a devoted husband and caregiver to Margaret. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2:00 -4:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel 380 Elm Street, St. Thomas on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 am. A private interment will be held in Aylmer Cemetery.
