Dear Carolyn and Family,
It is with deepest condolences on the passing of Jim.
A truly great person, leader, listener, mentor and friend. Someone you could lean on for support when in need. Jim's morale compass of integrity, compassion, responsibility and humility will be forever etched in my memory of Jim. Didn't matter what time was on the clock, Jim was compelled to making a difference whether it be helping as a friend or business matter. Jim touched many lives in a positive way during his life, for this he will be remembered forever.
Rest in Peace Jim

Carolyn and family,
My sincere condolences on the loss of Jim. Jim has been an outstanding leader who had positive impact to many Walmart associates including myself. I had chance working with Jim during STOC time, and learned so much from him as well as so many cheerful moments. His famous words – “learn as curious cat”, “dive from 30,000 feet”, and his legacy will stay with us forever.
Jim will be missed by us all! May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear this news, please accept my deep condolences. To echo so many other colleagues, Jim was an inspirational figure during my time with Walmart Canada. He exhibited the very best qualities of humble leadership - never too busy to stop and talk, always engaged and interested, sharing his deep knowledge freely and enthusiastically, yet always open to learn. The world needs more people like Jim. A fond memory is my daughter, then 3 now 12, unknowingly met Jim when he represented Santa at one of the Walmart Holiday parties - it is still one of our favourite Holiday photos!
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Best wishes

I have had the pleasure and privilege to have worked with Jim since the mid 70’s.
From my first interaction with him till the day I retired in 2008, Jim has always demonstrated an exceptional sense of commitment to our team and a never wavering dedication to our cause.
Truly a person of integrity, loyalty and compassion.

Dear Carolyn and Family,
My husband Ken and I are sorry for your loss. I feel blessed to have had the pleasure of getting to know Jim more as we worked together on the H1CA Board of Directors. He was such a positive, friendly, and thoughtful person--a true gentleman. I admired his sense of humour, compassion, tact and diplomacy skills--he was a true leader. He will be missed by us all at Highlands One! May he rest in peace, out of pain.

Dear Carolyn and Family,
Our sincere condolences on the loss of Jim. He will be remembered by myself and many associates at Walmart Canada for the profound impact that he had on our company and the people that worked with him. I recall fondly every time we toured stores together Jim made a point to pick up the tannoy and thank every associate for the difference they were making. It's this care and compassion that I will remember him for. We will all miss Jim... A man of great character, a proud learner and humble teacher and a leader that made a difference. Know his legacy lives on in the people that he impacted at Walmart Canada and we will forever keep Jim in our thoughts.
Sincerely,
Sam Wankowski
