Obituary of Thomas James Waller
WALLER - Thomas (Tom) James of Dutton, Ontario, and formerly of St. Thomas, Ontario, died Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Born April 6, 1948, Tom was in his 76th year. Tom is lovingly survived by his wife Roxanne; son John (Lily) of Alberta, daughter Tammy (Joe) of New Sarum, son Jason (Michelle) of St. Thomas, daughter Karen (Jorge) of Brampton, and son Cory of Windsor. Tom is also survived by his grandchildren Nathaniel, Kameron, Charmayne, Jacob, Maggie, Lauren, Amelia, Andrew, Isaiah, Darryn, Jessica, John James (JJ), Jesse, Coralynn, and Brooklynn, and 3 great grandchildren. Tom is predeceased by his parents Walter and Violet Waller. Tom was known throughout his life to have a smile for all and to help anyone who needed it. He served the St. Thomas community as an ambulance attendant, a police officer, and the owner/operator of Thomas Printing Services. Tom also was a district operations manager for the Becker’s Milk Company and retired as the owner/operator of Laramy’s Restaurant in Dutton. Tom was not afraid of hard work. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to share those sentiments. Tom loved going for drives, flying, eating a meal with family, and his dog Sadie. Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St Thomas, ON (519-631-0570).
