Obituary of Samuel Abraham Van Der Wyngaard

VAN DER WYNGAARD – Samuel Abraham of St Thomas passed away peacefully at the St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the age of 90.  Beloved husband of Margaret Van Der Wyngaard.  Samuel is survived by his children Abraham (Gayle) Van Der Wyngaard and Samuel (Marie) Van Der Wyngaard; step children John (Heather) Colvers and Duane Colvers; grandchildren Abraham (Ruth), Lawrence (Jessie), Kevin (Shannon), Halyna (Dwayne) Knight, Douglas (Carley), Sam (Ashley), Collin and Katie; great grandchildren Colin, Jacob, Isabel, Madden, Alexia, Jaden, Jackson, Sophie, Allison and Avery.  Samuel will be missed by siblings Lida (late Mike), Joanne (late Eric), Ria (Larry), Susan (late Louis), Abe (Linda), Theresa (late Cecil).  Predeceased by great granddaughter Melissa and by siblings Simon (Nellie) and Nellie (Malcolm).  Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).  A memorial service will be held at the Ridgeview Community Church, 1470 Glenora Drive, London on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.  Private interment of ashes at a later date.  If desired, donations to Ridgeview Community Church would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
