Obituary of Charles Owles

OWLES - Charles “Charlie” Edward of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 13th, 2016 at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital with his family by his side in his 71st year. Beloved spouse of Nancy Bridgett for 24 years. He will be greatly missed by his children Chad Owles and Mandy (Lars) Kuhbandner. Stepchildren Melissa (Chris) Bridgett, Melinda (Jeff) Wiltsie and Mandy (Jay) Bridgett. Forever cherished by his grandchildren Chase and Hunter. Step grandchildren Jeneicia, Kamryn, Kaidyn, Logan, Mia, Tayla, Austin and his great grandchild Tyden. Charlie will also be missed by his step sister Yvonne Lampman. Predeceased by his parents John & Hazel Owles and stepmother Edna Owles. Charlie is also predeceased by his late son Troy Owles (1969). Charlie will be forever loved and never forgotten. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Private interment of ashes at a later date.
