I met Harold in 1994 when we opened the Lear facility in St. Thomas. Harold was in shipping and I in the planning department.
We loved to joke and one up each other. We worked together for 10 years and shared a few hockey game and parties in between. And many many laughs.
I would often see Harold in the grocery store, which would turn into a half hour chat to get ourselves caught up. I loved those chats.
I would like to thank Tiffany for reaching out to me during Harold's later part of his journey.
I met him in good spirits and at peace with his journey and path. During our visits we focused on our funny memories together.
Never a lose of words in those visits, just laughter and being comfortable in each other's presence.
He had a great sense of humor which was easily tagged onto.
Wink you will be missed by many due to you activities within the community, and your acts generosity with your volunteer work. But mostly by your close family, and grandkids.
Rest easy my friend
Sarah

I knew Harold from volunteering with him at the Grace Cafe. He was a compassionate worker, generous and had a great sense of humour. Thank you Tiffany for your kindness by letting me be part of his support group.
May your memories and those of all the family bring you comfort and keep Harold close in heart.

Harold to us was a good friend and to me especially was a great classmate in high school and fellow teammate at Kaslo Bay for many years. Together we had a few special experiences at work and the most was in December of 2022. Glad to be able to call him a friend.
RIP Wink

We're very sad to say good-bye to our co-worker and friend Harold. Harold was a delivery driver for us for 10+ years and his commitment to the mission was unrivaled. Through good days, and bad (overnighting in a stranger's house in Clinton after getting snowed in) he had a patented sarcastic humor that we could always count on.
We will miss connecting with him and his various Winkyisms but are also comforted knowing he is in a better place, no doubt trying to organize something.
RIP Winky
Our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones
Mike & Lindsay Luyks & the Kaslo Bay Team

I met Harold at the YMCA and he convinced me to join his team for the Strong Kids program. I took classes with Harold and he even took me for a ride in his fancy black sports car last year. Nice guy who volunteered his time to help others. Great sense of humour. Will miss him for sure. My thoughts are with you. Michelle Wardle

Deepest sympathy to Harold's Family. I volunteered with Harold at The Grace's Cafe and enjoyed working with him. Harold had a great sense of humor and always a smile. He truly took an interest in people and helping. We would enjoy his fishing tales and always a story about his truck driving experiences on his night and weekend runs. He would always ask about the farm and said he would drive his new car out if we ever got our farm back road paved...if this ever happens we will think of Harold. His kindness and compassion will always be remembered. We truly miss him and he shall never be forgotten.
