Obituary of Bill Rawlins
RAWLINS – William “Bill” Clair of St Thomas passed away peacefully at Parkwood Institute, London with his family at his side on Thursday, January 25, 2024 the age of 77. Beloved husband of Pamela Rawlins (nee Black). Bill is survived by children Rhonda (Tim) Bogart, Karen (Mark) Ryckman, Dean (Angela) Rawlins; stepchildren Laura Barrington (Martin) and Adam (Lorena) Barrington; grandchildren Evan (Whitney), Ashley (Kyle), Aaron (Shelby), Drew (Callea), Logan, Logan, Hannah, Nicholas; great grandchildren Halle, Jax, Kallum, Nash, Delaney, Jackson, Hudson and Lilleigh. Bill will be missed by his mother Irene (late Arthur) Rawlins and sister Carol (Dominic) Del Grosso. Bill found his passion for construction at a young age working with his father Art at Rawlins Paving Ltd until the early 80’s. He continued his career for 30 years with Walmsley Bros Ltd. He was often told he was one of the best loader operators in SW Ontario. He finished his career with J AAR Excavating from where he retired. Bill was always up for an adventure and enjoyed several years travelling to Fort Myers Beach and Arizona. Bill was very proud of his family and will be missed. God speed sweetheart. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Interment of ashes to be held in Aylmer Cemetery in the spring.
