I remember one time Josh and I were hanging out at a friends house and we were all playing hide and seek and for over an hour Josh was hiding and we could not find him. He kept making noises and whistling, it's a simple memory however something I will cherish and hold onto forever. No matter what, Josh always had a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed, my thoughts and heart goes out to his family, friends and those who were just simply close to him.

My Friend Josh is a sweet genius who helped us develop our initiatives. When he was 17; we passed our ideas to the City; the City built the transit building. We wanted supportive housing and we got supportive housing. Amazingly, Josh helped to get the help he and his peers needed and wanted. Josh is mentioned in "SOS": our CBC writing contest submission. We love our brother Josh. We send our condolences to his Mom, who Josh spoke of often.

I’m terribly sorry to hear of Josh’s passing. We saw Josh on the street one day a few years back.and picked him up, brought him with us to Subway to get him a meal, and then ended up taking him home with us, making arrangements with CAS, and he lived with us for a few months. Such a talented young man. He definitely had a gift for music, poetry and art. My biggest hope is he knew he was enough, loved, had people in his corner, and will be missed by many. I hope you’ve found peace Josh, and will continue to look out for your blood and chosen family in death just like in life. I know how passionate you were about staying loyal to your “street family” who you also loved dearly. You chose to leave our house in order to stay with someone who had no place to go, just so they were safe and not alone.
Sending love, strength and condolences to his family and friends, and all of the other service providers who were blessed enough to know Josh.
(This photo was the day we had our meeting with CAS to arrange and get approval to have Josh stay with us. He was exhausted and made a friend moments after entering our home. He loved Army, and was loved in return)
