Obituary of Bernard Pennings

PENNINGS - Bernard “Ben” Hendrik passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 at the age of 90 to be with his Lord. Beloved brother of Henk (Gerda) Pennings of St. Thomas, Christiaan “Jan” (late Hennie) Pennings of Belmont, Wilhelmina “Wilma” (Jack) DeJong of St. Thomas, Christina “Christine” (Bill) VanOene of St. Thomas, Bertha (late Art Pol) (late Fred) DeJong of St. Thomas, Johan “John” (Mary) Pennings of Lynden, William “Will” (Sara) Pennings of Shedden, Gerrit “Gary” (Ineke) Pennings of Shedden, and Albert (Annette) Pennings of Fingal. Predeceased by his parents Jan Bernard and Johanna Hendrika Pennings. Bernard was a retired farm help and a member of the Free Reformed Church of St. Thomas. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Thursday, September 1st, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Free Reformed Church, 145 St. George Street, St. Thomas on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Fingal Cemetery. If desired, donations to The Mission Fund at the Free Reformed Church would be appreciated.
