I’m terribly sorry to hear this. Appreciated working with Gord for many years. Still would see him from time to time and catch up. A true community guy! He will be missed. R.I.P Gord! Darryl Pinnell. (STPS 1988-2017)

Marlene and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. My husband Ed Mclachlan and Gord had a great friendship. They were on several of the same committees and fought hard for what was right. They had a lot of laughs and a few disagreements which always ended quickly and laughed about it . He was a great man and did a lot for this city and he will be greatly missed.

My heartfelt condolences to Marlene and family. St Thomas has lost a champion of all the citizens and an unselfish individual who always prioritized others. Integrity underlined everything he did and he brought an abundance of logic and sound reasoning to every organization he served. I attest to how he bettered the Council, the Police Board, the Economic Board and the downtown boards. My highest respect for his public service and admiration for the man.

I am deeply sorry to learn of Gords passing. I first met him through our association on the Downtown Developmennt Board over 20 years ago. I have to admit I was a little intimidated by his direct approach, but soon came to respect his no nonsense methods, and was proud to work with him on several projects over the years. I had the privilege of being a backyard neighbour for a few years and will remember him fondly. My condolences to Marlene and the family.
