Obituary of Frank Furman
Frank Stanley Furman of St. Thomas passed away peacefully of natural causes at his residence on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, at the age of 73.
Frank will be greatly missed by his beloved partner and best friend Deb Cramer for over 20 years. Frank is the dear father of Shelly (Rob) Angus, Stan Furman, and Krystal Furman. He was proud of his grandchildren Tyler, Ashley, Brittany, Bailey, Aidan, Felicity, McKenna, Cianna, Declan and Lily and his 5 great-grandchildren. He will be remembered by his chosen 4th daughter, Cathy Grand. Frank is survived by his sister Carol Mayhew and sister-in-laws Lisa Miller and Elaine Longworth.
Frank is predeceased by his parents Stanley Furman and Mary Ann Miller, brothers Larry Miller and Len Longworth, ex-wife and mother of his children Jane Furman (nee Long), daughter Lise Furman and brother-in-law Ron Mayhew.
Frank was brought up during tough times, but he enjoyed his teenage years, probably a little too much. Frank matured after meeting Jane and they built a family together. Frank was a hard-working man, who often held multiple jobs simultaneously. After retiring he gave his attention to Oscar, the biggest wiener dog ever! In recent years he slowed down due to health issues, but of course that didn't stop his smoking habit. Frank thought he looked like Michael Landon and took extreme pride in the quantity and length of his hair. Throughout his life he never let go of his passion for classic muscle cars or his most common statement "Furman business is Furman business".
While Frank's passing has left a hole in our hearts, there are no events planned since he didn't want any services. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Youth Unlimited Elgin County.
