Obituary of Horst Otto Pailer

PAILER- Horst Otto of St. Thomas passed away at home with his family by his side on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 86.  Horst will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 46 years Ann Pailer (nee Scott) and by his daughter Cherie (Leo) Chabot.  Dear brother of twin sister Waltraud Auer of Koenigsbach, Germany; loved grandfather of Amanda (Tyler), Ashley, and Nick; great-grandfather of Kaleb, Kael, Jachin, Harper, and Penny; and dear brother-in-law of Catherine and Ron LaPorte.  Also survived by daughter Monica Hyatt, son Eric Pailer, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.  Horst was a very hardworking individual and a kind and loving husband.  He specialized in marble and granite design, and operated Pailer’s Fashion Ceramic Tile for 40 years.  Cremation has taken place and a private interment of ashes will be held on a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).
