Obituary of Shirley Harris

HARRIS - Shirley Grace (nee Harrison). With her daughters by her side, passed away on Saturday, June 25th, 2016 at Valleyview Home in her 95 year. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Harris (1999). Loving Mother of Ann Windsor (Late Bill 2009) of Kincardine and Kathy Beard (Derek) of Mississauga, and her son the late Randy Harris (1972) St.Thomas. Cherished grandchildren Lori Dawn Antaya (Marcus), Katie Petteplace (Mike) and Graham Beard. Precious great-grandchildren Jack, William, Gracen, Chloe and Ava Grace. Shirley will be missed by siblings Madeline Franklin (late Ed) and Betty Dixon (late Don). Shirley was predeceased by her brothers Harry Harrison (Florence), Sanders Harrison (late Ena), brother-in-laws Denny Harris ( late Velma), Clarence Harris (late Vera) and Dave Harris (late Florence). Shirley will also be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. A special thanks to all the staff at Metcalfe Gardens Retirement Residence, Valleyview Home, and Dr. David Dougherty for all the care you gave Shirley throughout her years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Shirley with her family at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m, and preceding the Funeral service on Thursday June 30th 12-1p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday June 30th ,2016 at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. David Exley officiating. Interment: Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
