Obituary of Fernando Bortolotto

BORTOLOTTO- Fernando “Fred” Bortolotto passed away after a brief battle with cancer at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the age of 70. Fernando is survived by his loving wife Lucia “Lucy” Bortolotto (nee Ghedin); by his two sons Mark (Jody) Bortolotto of Beamsville, and Lawrence Bortolotto (Tammy) of London; by his three grandchildren Sophia, Nathaniel and Calliope; his brother Armando (Julie) Bortolotto of London; his sister-in-law Lorenza Ghedin; and by his nieces and nephews John, Patricia, Roberta and Angelo. Fernando worked for Clark Equipment in St. Thomas, and retired from Hitachi Truck Manufacturing in Guelph. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. John Johnson officiating. Cremation to follow. A private interment of ashes will be held on a later date.
