Obituary of Dan Lukianow

LUKIANOW- In love, with both peace and sadness, we announce the Heaven Going of our beloved Dan Lukianow. The world will be a poorer place without the smiles that Dan brings to people’s faces. But heaven is richer! He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Joan; his children Dana (Rev. Leonard) VanDyke of Parry Sound, Kari Lukianow (Jonathan Brennan) of Woodstock, Wade (Rhonda) Lukianow of Boulder, Colorado, and Tara (Darryl) Haley of Ingersoll; his grandchildren Natasha (Nathan) Penny and their children Madison and Samuel of Burlington, Tonya (Jonathan) Carlson and their children William, Tristan and Isabella of Sudbury, Garrett (Michelle) VanDyke and their children Noah and Aleida of Elmira, Dax and Sasha of Boulder Colorado, and Brynn (Jeff Simpson), Mason and Kyra of Ingersoll; his sisters Anne Danzey and Mary Nolan of London; his brother Fred Lukianow of London; his sister-in-law Helen Lukianow of London; his brother-in-law W. Robert Wade of Calgary; and by his many nieces and nephews and his many, many friends. Predeceased by his brothers Metro and Peter Lukianow. Dan was born in Bonnyville, Alberta, to Paul and Katerina Lukianow. He was a lithographer (plate maker). Dan also enjoyed canoeing, flying Cessnas and touring the country on his motorcycle along with his best friend Joan and their Christian Motorcylist Association ministry friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at St. Thomas Pentecostal Assembly in St. Thomas, 144 Wellington Street, St. Thomas on Friday, June 3 at 2:00 pm. If desired, donations to Christian Motorcyclists Association of Canada or The Gideons would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home (519-631-0570).
