Obituary of Laurette Lavigne

LAVIGNE, Laurette Alice (nee Roussel) of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19th, 2016 in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Dieter Krause (2004). Laurette is survived by her children Christine (Rob) Lavigne-Larade, Joey Lavigne, Rejean Comtois, Denis (Nicole) Comtois; her four stepchildren; her grandchildren Emily and Trinity, Joey and Jenna, Remi and Julie; several step grandchildren; and by her sisters Oriente, Jeannine, and Gilberte. Predeceased by nine brothers. Laurette was born in Kapuskasing to Joseph and Albina Roussel. She worked for Broadbent Newspaper in Stoney Creek. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). A private celebration of Laurette’s life will be held on a later date.
