Obituary of Ronald Arthur Behie

BEHIE - Ronald Arthur of St. Thomas passed away surrounded by his family, on January 14, 2016 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Patti Behie (nee Campbell). Ron is survived by daughters Christy (David) Guertin, and Melanie Hickingbottom (the late Russell). Loving grandfather of Samantha Guertin, Erika Hickingbottom, and Emily Hickingbottom. Dear brother of Aleta Behie, and Allan Behie. Ron will be missed by his in-laws Chick and Joyce Campbell, Michael Campbell, Joy (Bob) Powers, and Neil Campbell. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Ron had been an EMS Paramedic with St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for many years. He also enjoyed flying ultralight aircraft, geocaching, and spending time with his grandchildren. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00pm. If desired, donations to the Brain Tumor Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
