Obituary
MARTIN- Dianne Audrey (nee Bowden) passed away at Elgin Manor on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the age of 72. Dianne is survived by her loving husband Jean-Guy of St. Thomas, by her two sons Jason (Terri) Martin and their children James and Lauren of St. Thomas, and Brandon (Carrie) Martin and their daughter Rosline of Vancouver Island; by her siblings Bob (Doreen) Bowden of London, Terry (Sharon) Bowden of St. Thomas, Sharon (Marty) LeClair of London, Brenda (Wayne) Simpson of London, and Gary Bowden of London; by her siblings-in-law Hugette (Gilbert) of New Brunswick, Nicole (Rene) Dube, Gaetan (Linda) Martin all of Connecticut, Colette Martin of New Brunswick, and Mona (Henry) Ostiguy of New Brunswick. Predeceased by her four sisters and two brothers. Dianne was born in London, Ontario to the late Harry and Vera Bowden. She loved camping, art work and making ceramics. But, most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Dianne worked as a secretary at the family business for eighteen years before her retirement, and was a member of the Elgin Roman Catholic Family of Parishes (St. Anne’s). Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Parish Prayers will be recited at the funeral home at 5:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne’s Parish 20 Morrison Dr., St. Thomas on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10:00 am. Interment in Holy Angels Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Elgin-St. Thomas would be appreciated. Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
