Obituary of Giovanni Carboni

CARBONI - Giovanni of St. Thomas and formerly St. Catharines, passed away surrounded by the love of his family, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Costantina Carboni (nee Polo). Giovanni is survived by sons John (Michelle) Carboni of Penticton, B.C., and Antonello (Debbie) Carboni of St. Thomas; grandchildren Matteo, Marco, Nicolo, Emma, and Peter; brother Bruno Carboni of Alghero; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Angelo Carboni, Anna Lobrano, Paolo Carboni, and Carmelo Carboni. He had retired from the City of St. Catharines. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm, with parish prayers at 6:30pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 9:00am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catharines.
