Obituary of James Arthur Bogart

BOGART - James Arthur of St. Thomas, Ontario peacefully died at home in his 93rd year surrounded by the love of his family. Fondly remembered as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of incredible faith, generosity and patience. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Doris Marie (nee Walch). Dearly missed by his family Karen, Nathan, Aaron, and Hadley Wallace; Michael and Betty Walch; Karla Stewart; Heather, Steve, Sarah, Josh and Leah Stanley; his siblings Robert Bogart, Nancy Wilson, and David Bogart; and his cherished nieces and nephews. James worked as a nursing assistant at Westminster Hospital in London, was a farmer, and lifelong resident of Southwold Township. He served overseas in WWII with the British Columbia Regiment. James was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 9:00pm on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). The funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 22 at Bible Baptist Church 32 Park Ave, St. Thomas at 11:00am. If desired, donations to a charity of your choosing would be gladly accepted.
