Obituary of Bertha Caughell

Obituary CAUGHELL - Bertha (nee Craig) of St. Thomas passed away peacefully with family at her side at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the age of 97. Bertha was born in Courtright, Ontario on March 3, 1922. Beloved wife of the late William Caughell (2009) and mother of the late Timothy W. Caughell (1993). Bertha is survived by her daughter Jill Crosby (Jim) of St. Thomas; grandchildren Justin Crosby (Lacey) of St. Thomas, Julee Dale (Nick) of Sparta, Jarret Crosby (Nikki Ostrander) of St. Thomas and Jenna Stevens (Ryan) of Byron; great grandchildren Jax Crosby, Leia Crosby, Cameron Dale, Kolton Dale, Hazel Crosby, Grace Stevens, Harrison Stevens and Russell Stevens; brother William Craig (Rhea), brother in law Bill Wallis and sister in law Ona Craig. Predeceased by her parents William and Hazel (nee Clunas) Craig; siblings Ruth Baughman (late Lee), Marie Wallis, Jack Craig and Jim Craig (late Kay). Bertha was a member of Omar Temple Daughters of the Nile and Edna Rebekah Lodge. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570).
