Obituary of Joan Doreen Molyneux

MOLYNEUX - Joan Doreen (nee Phillipson) of Chateau Gardens (Chartwell) Aylmer, formerly St. Thomas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on July 2, 2015 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Bill Molyneux (1990). Joan is survived by her children David (May) Molyneux of St. Thomas, Philip (Alison) Molyneux of St. Thomas, Debbie (Terry) Piercy of New Brunswick; grandchildren Arielle, Shelby, Jacob, and Jackson Molyneux and Tyler, Katelyn, and Karly Piercy. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Doris Phillipson, and her sister Shirley Wilkie. Born in London, England Joan emigrated to Canada in 1957. She was a former member of St. John’s Anglican Church choir for 11 years, and later Trinity Anglican Church. Joan was also a member of the International Ballroom Club, and a member and volunteer at the St. Thomas Seniors Centre. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 12:00 - 1:00pm, with the funeral service taking place in the chapel at 1:00pm. Interment in Elmdale Cemetery. If desired, donations to Animal Aide would be appreciated.
