Obituary of James Honsinger

HONSINGER - James Paul of St. Thomas, passed away at home surrounded by his family, after a lengthy battle with cancer, on May 23, 2015 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Wendy Honsinger. Jim is survived by children Tim Honsinger (Julie Carr) of Hamilton, Jay (Laurie) Honsinger; grandchildren Greg Honsinger (Mary Philbin), Tristan Honsinger, and Taylor Honsinger, all of St. Thomas. Predeceased by his parents Paul and Shirley Honsinger, and his brother Terry Honsinger. Jim will be missed by his co-workers at Phil Mauer & Associates in Eden. He looked forward to his annual Father’s Day round of golf with his sons and grandchildren, as well as travelling with his wife Wendy. A private family gathering was held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570), prior to cremation. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Jim’s family wishes to thank Wendy’s sister and brother-in-law Bev (Bob) Lister, along with his personal caregivers, for their kindness and compassion over the last two years. If desired, donations to STEGH Chemotherapy Unit or the London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated. Visitation A private gathering will be held prior to cremation.
