Obituary of Marilyn Miller

MILLER - Marilyn Olive of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on April 19, 2015, just 8 days shy of her 88th birthday. Dearly loved cousin of Ted Bear and his wife Helga Victor-Bear of St. Thomas. Marilyn is survived by her godson Mark Brown of St. Thomas; her special ‘cottage’ friends Randy & Ann Schannick; and her many “courtesy nieces and nephews”. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Edith Miller, and her lifelong special friend Mary Bancroft. Marilyn retired after many years as a nurse at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, and was a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church and an associate member of St. Paul’s United Church in Lake St. Peter. Marilyn’s fondest memories were of her many summers spent with Mary at their cottage on Lake St. Peter. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Cremation has taken place. Private interment of ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. If desired, donations to St. John’s Anglican Church St. Thomas, or St. Paul’s United Church Lake St. Peter would be appreciated. Cremation with Interment A private interment of ashes will be held at Elmdale Cemetery.
