Obituary of Herman Theodore Jones

Obituary Sunrise March 21, 1931 – Sunset November 22, 2019 Herman Theodore “Ted” Jones was born on March 21, 1931 in Raleigh Township. He was 88 years old. Ted was always a hardworking man, he retired from the American Can Company after 30 plus years of service. Ted farmed his family land, while also operating the family gas station and variety store. Ted was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and also a member of the Promise Keepers. Ted loved the Lord. Preceding him in death were his parents Herman and Dora Jones, plus his first wife Helen Travis Jones. To this union and left to cherish his memory are 3 children Marlene Greer (David), Douglas Jones, Doris Brown and his devoted wife of 17 years Betty Jones and 2 step children Wanda Zufelt (Bill), Warrne Davidson (Kellie) 9 grandchildren Paulo Jones, David (Monica) and Jeffrey Greer, Randy and Amber Brown, Taylor and Jared Zufelt, Brandon and Ryan Davidson and 2 great grandchildren Caleb Greer and Solomon Jones and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). The funeral service will be held at LifeHouse St. Thomas (formerly St. Thomas Pentecostal Assembly) 144 Wellington Street, St. Thomas on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment in North Buxton Community Church Cemetery.
