Obituary of Irene Robertson
ROBERTSON - Irene Eunice (nee Tissier) Passed away peacefully at her home in Terrace Lodge, Aylmer on Friday, January 16, 2015 in her 99th year. Formerly of Fruitland, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late John Robertson (1999) and dear mother of Joan and her husband Phil Worozbyt of St. Thomas, Sheila and her husband Douglas Watt of Peterborough, David and his wife Pat Robertson of Mississauga, Robert Robertson of Hamilton, Charles and his wife Karen Robertson of Shallow Lake, and Jane and her husband Rev. Darcy Winsky of London. Lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 nephews, and a number of cousins in Guernsey, England. Predeceased by her parents Walter Charles (1980) and Elsie Louisa Tissier (1989), and by her sister Elsie Nora. Irene was born on the Island of Guernsey, England on October 5, 1916. Special THANKS to all the staff at Terrace lodge for their loving care of our mother over the last 6 years. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Visitation will be held at Eastwood Baptist Church 400 Wellington Street, St. Thomas on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 1:00 - 2:00pm. Funeral Service will take place at 2:00pm with Pastor Gerry Benn officiating. Interment in Winona (The Fifty) Cemetery in Stoney Creek, Ontario at a later date. If desired, donations to Eastwood Baptist Church would be appreciated. Visitation
