Obituary of Judge Douglas Walker

WALKER - Judge John Douglas Ryerson Walker of St. Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on November 16, 2014, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the late Lois Anne Walker (nee Crandon) (2006). Doug is survived by children Doug (Ann) Walker of St. Thomas and Wade (Charlene) Walker of Sparta; grandchildren Jace, Chad, Taryn, Kayla. Doug retired after a long and honourable career in the legal field beginning as lawyer and retiring from the bench as Judge. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of Doug’s life at the St. Thomas Golf & Country Club, 42325 Sparta Line, Union from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Monday, November 24, 2014. If desired, donations to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the St. Thomas Salvation Army would be appreciated. Visitation A celebration of Doug's life will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.
