On behalf of the library, I would like to extend my condolences to Stan's family and friends. He was always ready with a story or a fun fact when I would call to arrange book delivery. It has been a pleasure to get to know him through the Home Library Service and I will miss chatting with him. Stan is remembered by a number of staff here at the library and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

To Stan's family, esp sisters Diane and Joan and Leslie, Wayne and Scott,
I would like to express my deepest condolences and personal sadness in hearing the news of Stan's passing. Although he and I had not been in touch for many years, I have such fond memories of our times together when we were boyhood best friends.
I first met Stan when our two families lived across the road from one another in 1944. Our close friendship continued through our high school years and beyond, as Stan began his broadcasting career in St. Thomas. Our two families remained close friends and I always remember the generosity of Stan's parents for including me in their many activities.
I have great memories of Stan as a kid - he was very outgoing with a great sense of humour. Thanks to him, I became an avid sports fan as together we followed the ups and downs of the Toronto hockey and baseball teams. In high school, we were notorious for writing and performing "comedy" material and "hilarious" songs! We used to think we were the "Wayne and Schuster" of Scarborough.
I know Stan had a wonderful life and I will always cherish my fond memories of him and his family. My love to you all. John

I, like many others, feel this loss deeply.
Although our paths have not crossed in a few years, we have been in touch on the phone, by internet and in infrequent notes. Our media careers spanned a lot of industry changes and some historic events so our exchanges were always fun and informative
.
My heartfelt condolences to Donna, Stan's family and friends. We always enjoyed our memories of spontaneous creative moments years ago. Stan's sense of humour was always part of any connection, even when the exchange was about some serious social issue. Stan was always insightful and able to get his message across on accesability issues or on a sports performance debate. I will miss Stan. I will miss his
input on life's challenges.
Pace.
