Obituary of Ella Ruth Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM- Ella Ruth Birmingham (nee Bint) passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the age of 83. Ella is survived by her loving children Robert Birmingham of London, Clare (Sonia) Birmingham of St. Thomas, and Debbie (Don) Miller of St. Thomas; by her grandchildren Kelly (Mike) Czekurlon and their daughter Avery of British Columbia, Jamie Birmingham of London, Greg (Nicole) Birmingham and their son Logan of St. Thomas, Julie Birmingham of London, Brittany Miller and Branden Miller both of St. Thomas; and by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Clare Birmingham, her son Larry Birmingham, her brothers John and Earle Bint; and by her sisters Agnes O’Hearn and Audrey Wolfenden. Ella was most proud of her family and their accomplishments. She also enjoyed travelling, gardening, crafts, and playing euchre and cribbage. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday September 25, 2013 from 7-9 pm, and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 am. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery - Tyrconnell. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
