Obituary of Bill Spence

SPENCE- William “Bill” Spence passed away with his family by his side at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the age of 67. Bill is survived by his loving wife Penny Spence of St. Thomas; his daughter Colleen Spence of St. Thomas; his grandchildren, who he helped raise and treated like his own children, Riley Spence and Jarod Colwell of St. Thomas; his brother John (Viv) Spence of Londesboro; his sisters Gus (Bill) Minnice and Joan Warnica both of London; brother-in-law Tom (Hope) Sullivan of Komoka; his special extended family Judy Birtch and Bernie St. Jean of St. Thomas; many nieces and nephews; best buddy Paul Sapesinkas and grand puppy Axel. Predeceased by his brother Donald Spence. Bill worked as a tool repair man at the Ford Motor Company - Talbotville. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The funeral service will take place in the chapel on Monday at 1:00 pm. Cremation to follow. If desired, donations to V.O.N.-Elgin Office-Transportation Department, #741-Elgin Royal Canadian Air Cadets Squadron, or London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated.
