Obituary of Corrine Cathrine Openshaw

OPENSHAW - Corinne Cathrine Openshaw (nee Koebel) of St. Thomas, formerly of London, passed away peacefully at Caressant Care-Mary Bucke on Thursday, June 27, 2013 after celebrating her 77th birthday last Monday. Loving mother of Paul (Julie) Carrier of St. Thomas, Brian Clydesdale of London, Geoff (Dana) Clydesdale of California, Cheryl (Bill) Mennill of London; grandmother of Jessica and Ryan Clydesdale; sister of Patricia Hart (Ken Schilbe) of London, Gerard (Kathy) Koebel of Dutton, Robert (Mary) Koebel of London; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Margo, Linda, Laurel and Biserka. Predeceased by her parents Gerard and Irene Koebel, and her sister Geraldine Frederick. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 12:00 to 1:00pm, where the memorial service will be held at 1:00pm in the chapel. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A special thank you to Dr. Cohen and Dr. Barrett, and all the staff at Caressant Care-Mary Bucke for their excellent and personable care. Corinne is dancing in heaven.
