Obituary of Kathy Helen Ford

FORD - Kathy Helen (nee Guest) of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital at the age of 61. Beloved wife of Bill Ford. Daughter of George (the late Katie) Guest. Kathy is survived by her children Susan Ford of Brigden, Rob (Zita) Ford of London; her grandchildren Zack, Jaden and Josh; her siblings Lynda (Bob) Bruce of London, Judy (Bob) Beckett of London, Nancy (Ken) Murray of Florida, Don (Terri) Guest of London; her in-laws Betty (the late Jack) Morrish of Smithville, Jim (Pat) Ford of Dutton, Ed (Grace) Ford of Wallacetown, Audrey (Bill) Lyons of Frome, Don (Karen) Ford of Wallacetown, David Ford of Wallacetown; and by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Scott Lunn and Jennifer Goodhue of St. Thomas . Predeceased by brother-in-law John Ford. Kathy had retired from the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 2:00 - 5:00pm to celebrate Kathy’s life. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family Interment in Elmdale Cemetery. If desired, donations to Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff on 4th floor and ICU at St. Thomas Elgin General for their compassionate care.
